Overview & Credits
FILM OVERVIEW
Altered Dreams is a short experimental film that explores a man, woman and snake’s metamorphosis through a series of random events, portals and surrealistic laboratory settings, with structural film and sound elements.
The film was made in response to a Curtin University Experimental Screens Second Year unit, which required the synthesis of techniques incorporating cameraless filmmaking, rear and front projection, experimental sound approaches and governed by principles of Structural and Surrealist film approaches.
The final film is a rigorously structural film teaser/trailer for a hypothetical feature-length narrative, made entirely by two Curtin University Screen Arts second year students Michael Honsa and Jennifer Hill.
Selected for screening as short film at UnderExposed: Adelaide Fringe Festival 2021 and monthly winner January 2021 Changing Faces International Film Festival (SYD).
