FILM OVERVIEW

William Grace is a twelve year old boy, who lives with his mother Emily and his two younger siblings Alex 8 and Aurora 6. William arrives home on the last day of school, to find his mother dead of a drug overdose in her bedroom. Fearing that the border patrol will come and take him and his siblings away, like he saw happening on the news to immigrant families. He decides to hide her death and take on the role of “Mom” to keep his family together. But the tables are quickly turned when he finds out that being the adult isn’t all it is cutout to be. With juggling book club, shopping, cooking, bills and two younger kids it’s more than one boy can handle!

Director Biography

Austin Foxx is an emerging young talent with credits as diverse as his abilities. He is best known for the role of Perry in Ciarán Foy's feature horror film Eli on Netflix. Austin's first role was playing the Young Gary Ridgway on The Reelz Chanel Murder Made Me Famous, The Green River Killer episode.

At age twelve Austin became an award winning Writer, Director and Actor for his short film "Mom", having won the Film of The Year at the American Youth Film Festival, The Gold Award for Best Short Film at the Mindfield Film Festival Albuquerque and Best Filmmaker Award at the CMA Content 19. He is also one of the youngest Finalist in the Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards and one of the youngest Semi Finalist in the Script and Storyboard Showcase. He received international recognition for his work when he won The Rising Star Award at The Next Level International Film Festival in Sydney, Australia.
